33" skinnies are about the same weight if not lighter than standard width 32s generally...that's one of the big advantages to going with a skinny tire. I didn't notice any power loss or difference at all really when going from 32s to skinny 33s.
The skinny 33s are actually a few pounds lighter than my old 32s.

have to agree. i haven't noticed any power drop off either. only issue my OCD is having a difficult time with is the 5-7 mph slower my speedo is reading.

Is it really that far off? I haven't really noticed much of a difference at all on mine but I don't pay much attention to it.

What I'm more curious about is how it effects the odometer, like what percentage its off versus running the stock 31s.

I'm sure there's a way to figure it out precisely but...maths.

yeah, its definitely off by at least 5 mph. Not that I trust GPS 100% since it can lag out at time but its pretty consistently reporting at 5 more than what my speedo shows.

    been using waze

    do it

Just be sure to get your caster maxed or close to it to push the wheel forward, or they rub the pinch weld/front of the cab like a mother. At least mine do, probably has a lot to do with your wheels as well.

I like the ST Maxx a lot more than the KO2s...they look really aggressive too (more so in person than online I think).

Otherwise I think BFG has the KM2s in 255

I can't imagine being on 235s. I went from 265 to 255 and perhaps its more the increased height (85 vs 75) but lately we have had a couple of heavy wind days and i certainly noticed. again, not sure if it was less of a contact patch or more of a height or a combo of both.

or perhaps it was because my speedo was off and I was doing 75 going downhill into a turn... :annoyed:

Cooper makes another tire in 255 called the Discoverer (non ST Maxx one)...I have that one as a spare. Not as mean looking but they are a bit cheaper.

weird because it's not nearly as aggressive looking as the ST Maxx.

I edited my post there but thinking about it - perhaps it was due to my speedo being off, heading into a downhill turn and the wind. its a high wind area - lots of windmills for power generation.

Is that a C rated tire? I'll be that guy and say I don't think C rated tires on the trail are a good idea...I know a lot of people run them though
