I let whatever grows grows..but I went 2 years without putting grub killer down and the moles and skunks destroyed my yard...I had to replant/seed huge areas that are just mud and sinkholes...I love the clover patches and some other purple things that grown cones of flowers about 3 inches tall the bees seem to love. We had a ton of fuzzy carpenter bees that were living in my neighbors derelict wooden shed but he finally tore it down in in february so I'm sure they'll be a drop in fuzzy bees this year. I hope they made a queen last year and she found her way into any one of the dead trees in the woods.

I got one from a place in brooklyn, the container was 1800, plus shipping which was about 1k. They also offer "new" one way containers that were 2500 plus shipping. They deliver 3 days after purchase was the policy. I think the smaller ones were a little cheaper, maybe $300 or so less? Shipping seems to make a big difference. Might be able to find someone better closer to your area.

I've also found some nice simple shelving that is made for them, windows and other things. I wouldn't do windows, but some battery powered LED strips from Amazon for lighting and a shelve or two will do the trick I think for what I need. Probably two extra vents too for some air flow in summers. The ability to easily unload it after if I want is appealing too. Might be neat to bury though and have a little shelter out in the woods hidden.

:notsure: That's a good question, I would think it would only help the coating, than leaving it by itself.

Seems like a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist. It’s neat, I just can’t think of where I’d want to use it. Zinc rich paints have been around for a very long time and accomplish much of the same concepts except they can be coated fairly easily.

If you spray that stuff, wear a respirator, it has some funky chemicals in it.

Welding a coated metal is also asking for trouble and, aside from residential applications, not going to be an acceptable weld anyways. You’re much better off grinding the area you want to weld, then welding it. This is both from a weld quality perspective and a health and safety perspective. Lots of commercial epoxies emit some nasty fumes when welded over.

I don't know about that 1st statement of yours Mike. There is a big problem with a lot of coatings and them not protecting property, especially powder coatings, especially in our area.
This does not need to be top coated, the 316 SS offer's tons of protection and is offered in grey or black. Coating over it makes it more of a very expensive primer.
I think this stuff would be awesome for sliders and such.

300 series stainless is typically non-magnetic, while 400 series stainless is typically magnetic along with high end stainless like 17-4 and 15-5 (if I remember right, the 17-4 and 15-5 might not be) but 400 series tends to have a higher carbon content than 300 series and can get surface rust

My sliders got beat this winter, chipped up pretty bad and I had to scrap off some of the bed coating. Took a piece of cardboard and two fresh cans of the duplicolor bedcoating. Good as new :) Did a touchup of the front/rear bumpers too.

Speaking of fishing, if any of you need some really nice manual down-riggers, or know someone that might, I am selling my Penns. They are very sweet down-riggers.

Or is it the other word... I will separate the down from the rigger so the N is nowhere near there
