I should get in on some of these.

Here are some I took a few years ago back when I lived in Cali.

I like using my 100mm and my 70-200 which is good for compression, making larger facial features look less big, like noses, and it also give you nice boken when shooting wide open, and it's fast for a zoom! My son has done a few events involving people, babies and he uses a 24-70 with great results. But has now switched to sony :(
Yes, the 85mm is a fan favorite, have never tried one myself.

Non entries (obviously as there are no silhouettes) but a couple shot I took this morning after my shift.

Isn’t that what the desert is for this time of year? Save the mountains for when it’s hot during the summer. Just sayin’

The mountains are the closest public land I have at the moment, if I wasn’t at school there would be plenty of blm to go cruise around in, but that’s not the case

Thanks for tacking that on, and you're absolutely correct about that. I believe Nikon and Sony E is a x1.5 crop factor, Cannon is a x1.6, and 4/3rds is a x2 crop factor.

    Non entries.

These pictures are taken directly above my house looking out towards the beach.

Sunset picture taken back early December and just finally got around to taking the SD card out of the Mavic. Sadly it's a bit grainy on TW for some reason. Much less grainy on my end, maybe a smaller file size would fix it. Non sunset picture taken about an hour ago. Light edits on both. Hoping to use the Mavic for this week's challenge, I've got something in mind for tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

50mm. Hands down. I work full time as a photojournalist and shoot 95% of my work with a 50/1.8. $100 lens and it’s fantastic. I keep a 35/1.4 and 135/2 in my bag for the rare times zooming with your feet just doesn’t work. Occasionally use a 300 for sports or wildlife, but it’s amazing what you can do with a cheap little 50.

Somebody has a sweet Red VW bus in your neighborhood. Pics look great! Seems no matter what I do with the DJI Phantom 3, pics are always grainy when taking sunset pics. Lightroom helps but they are still grainy if you inspect it
