Seems legit. If they’re licensed and driven not much they can say.

 

Even if they weren’t it’s in my driveway... there’s 3 more cars in the garage and 1 in storage. I can make it worse and park all of them outside.

 

Minus the roof rack and lower =hawt

 

There’s a road south of the mesa 244 that I’d like to explore.

 

Thankfully it's not a leafspring SAS. Wonder if they cut the front frame apart, kinda need to or there's no place for that axle to go and thus it sits stupid high like this. It has coilovers and links so I'm tempted to say they did it right and just cranked it high but I've been dissappointed by people before so I'm gonna guess the front frame section is stock still

 

What’s wrong with springs? Just high?

 

Leaf springs flex okay but not great due to binding and they tend to have worse road manners than links. It's the cheap way to SAS, it gets you more flex than IFS but it's a sacrifice in many other categories.

I'm tired of people making half assed leaf spring SAS vehicles and then posting them for sale for too much because "bruh, this thing got a full off-road suspension overhaul, custom ya know"

So if you were gonna sas for a mainly snow rig would springs be fine?

Yeah for moderate flex on a budget, leafsprings are fine. They just make things handle like vehicles from the 40s haha.

 

Those portals makes it kind tough to work with but it could be cool

 

If I can ever afford to sas I think that’s the way I’ll go, seems simpler maintenance wise

 

I’m thinking Ford I beam front and rear.

Well there aren't any other styles of independent rear that can do much better... Maybe trailing arms but that's a lot of custom shit to make it happen and CVs are gonna be a nightmare.... The trailing arms on my Z arent even all that great

 

Eh links are pretty easy to maintain too all the ones on my old cruiser are still good and they're stock. I need a new steering stabilizer and I'd like new upper control arms on the rear but ultimately all that shit has held up better than the ifs on my taco did

 

Same setup as the front. Only set so it’s solid... I imagine built right it would handle fine. He’ll incorporate rear steer too lol

 

I'd mount the diff on a cross member directly in line with the output from the tcase and have the links of a cross member just behind the can the rest is just lines...

 

It’s a long ways away if it ever happens, I really just want to be able to run chains on all 4’s, just in case
