Here's the press release for the 2020 (see if there's anything you think is worth waiting for): https://pressroom.toyota.com/releas...ment+leadership+with+host+of+new+upgrades.htm
As far as pricing goes, I'd bet a month or two after they hit the dealers the difference in price in most markets wont be more than $1k between a 19 and 20 Sport or Limited and you'd make up a portion of that in resale value. There's a lot of competition and Toyota will be ramping up production.

They will drive the same, take an extended test drive as others have said, maybe check Turo if you want more time behind the wheel (but get the extra insurance so you're covered).

Just upgraded from a 06 to a 19 back in November. Personally I love the truck but if I were in the market now I'd wait for the 20 for the passenger side smart entry, CarPlay/AA, headlights and the Panoramic View Monitor on Limited in your case.

Just do your research on the current issues and TSBs. I test drove my truck almost 20 miles and ended up buying it. Not even a month later I had to get the rear axle replaced and the drums resurfaced due to incorrect installation at the factory. Now I'm taking it in again because of a howling noise coming from the rear. Not the end of the world, and there's TSBs for all these issues. But it's definitely frustrating. Seems like this is just a couple of the many common issues with the new Tacomas that have not been remedied year after year. It's still a great truck, but just be prepared to face at least one of the many issues that might come up.

There’s a TSB for the rear drums? What number?

Agreed. I bought a set of seat spacers here and the height adjustment is a nonissue for me. I love my ‘19 Taco.

Interesting.. You might have just convinced me to trade up. I have a '16 but I'm really interested in a specific 2020 model (nothing wrong with 16 MT). Good to see it's not uncommon. I'm used to keeping a truck for at least 7 years but my dream truck is coming out.

It's the same drivetrain in the 16 as the 19. Get the programming updates and yours should drive the same. I say should since these are learning transmissions, and your experience may vary

TSB 0023-18 (now -19) for rear vibration. They replaced my axle and resurfaced the drums.
