We spent Easter on British Air. Only 8 hour direct flight home. Attended Good Friday service at Westminister Abbey. Festival of St. George was big event in Trafalgar Square. Climate protesters were a big presence. Now back to reno project after 2 week break.

Sounds like a fun day. For me I am off to HD and pick up 18 10' 4X4's. Building a rain/butterfly garden at our church school.

Been working filling up my woodshed for the coming season, two rows finished, so 40% done already, still using the woodstove. Would be nice to have the remaining wood out of the way as it is all the way to one side, over half a row high, so a task to move if I went that route. Trying to get ahead of the game, so I can start cutting trees this Spring. Had a nice snag spotted, but appears to be too rotted as with my axe was able to chop into it 4" maybe and the wood was bad, inner part may be ok, but splitting away the rotten wood off of rounds makes for hard work. Did find another smaller Sugar Pine close by, it appears to be ok or at least acceptable. Need to scout for more trees, but know where some Lodgepole Pine is, but need quite a bit of snow to melt so I can get up high to it, close to where I camp at a deer camp.
Got both my motorcycles washed, will take the dirt bike in to get valves adjusted as it has enough hours now since I bought it new three years ago. Can list the dual sport on Craigslist to sell, been dragging my feet to list it, dont know how I'll handle the money if it sells.

So last week I purchased a new lawnmower to replace my 15+ y/o Husqvarna. The Husqvarna served me well over the years, no problems what so ever. Ran great, cut nice..etc. Over the past 2 years I noticed the deck starting to rust and just some other little problems. Ok, this is going to the curb.
On a side note: where I live you can put anything out on the curb and sooner or later someone will come and take it. That's most convenient way :)
I purchased a Craftsman w/a Honda engine and self propelled. That was a mistake.
It didn't propel very well...not at all like the Husky.
Returned it and bought another Husky.
The moral of this is if something has treated you well and it needs to be replaced...stick w/what works.

    Morning all:

The only problem that I have found is that when I find something exceptional, and I need to replace it, they no longer make it.

Just got done washing, drying, and waxing the 66 Impala, this used to be fun!
Hey, at least I got it all done in one day. :D

I have a old Monkey Ward mower I bought used from a lady over 20 years ago. Too bad it is so hard to keep the wheels on it. Old style as you can adjust the throttle. I usually idle around to hack off weeds around the place. Had to replace the handle bars and the throttle cable then. May have to recycle it so I can move on to the more modern stuff and quit trying to save pennies. Just hate tossing a good motor.

Sell the extra motorcycle and Monkey Ward mower both on Craigslist and buy a new mower. Easy Peasy way to solve both situations.

Finally listed the KLR650 on CL today. No emails yet. Value must have changed, as I'm asking $600 more.

60 years old today. I'm wondering if this is the year I call it quits at work and retire. The wife would have a fit.

Used to have a monkey ward rear bagger.... loved that thing UNTIL an AGE MECHANIC borrowed it and pretty much killed it!! Never ran the same, IF you could get it to stay running  Since then, do NOT loan stuff out :anonymous:

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! You'll just have to convince her it would be in her best interest.... LIKE dinner on the table when she gets home, house cleaned, and laundry done!!! :D

Happy birthday, pull up a chair on the 60+ porch and join in, and it's also your turn to fill up the cooler.

HE'S BACK, darn bear was in the pond again. As usual, I need to go wading and straighten out the drop pipe that it keeps pushing over! :annoyed:

So many companies have been acquired by corporations it is not so true any longer. Sad.

I have a shower dispenser made by SimpleHuman. LINK
It plugged up and did not dispense the conditioner. I thought "CRAP".
I tried to take it apart ... knowing full well makers do not do that any more.
WELL, I was pleasantly surprised, it came apart and was easily cleaned. The ball and spring setup was easy to access and reset.
