Alright, I've been researching, but cant seem to figure this out...

    So:

1 = wire coming from where the two ditch lights plug in.
2 = black wire coming from where the ditch lights plug in and also the black from the battery (they converge together as seen in the photo)
3 = the red wire that goes to the fuse connector/battery.

    As far as I know

    2 >>> 4
    1 >>> 6
    3 >>> 5

What do I do with 7 (green)???

    Or is it:

    2>>>4
    1>>>7
    3>>>5

    And leave 6 alone?

    Any advice would be appreciated

I've seen this, and from what I can make of it is

    Black goes to black
    Red1 goes to 1
    Red2 goes to 3

From the way you've described your wiring I am unsure. Did you make a custom harness or is it from a company?

The 1, 2, 3 labeled in red is the wiring that came straight from Rigid out of the box. The 4, 5, 6, 7 labeled in green is just from the OEM switch I ordered online.

    Okay then I believe

    1 > Green on switch
    2 > Black on switch
3 > Both reds on switch (Switch will light up when ditch lights are on. You could also tap Red2 on the switch to your instrument lights for the switch to illuminate when you turn on headlights)

So connect red1 and red2 to 3? Also, how do I connect them, I know how to splice wire to wire, but with the end pieces from the rigid harness how do I attach?

Red1 yes, red2 only if you are not worried about the switch lighting up when you turn the headlights on (like all of the buttons in your truck currently do)

If you want the OEM switch to be backlit when you turn your headlights on, tie it into the cable that provides that function to an existing button like the cargo lamp switch.

Here is a thread that explains that:
