Sadly... the Tacoma they were purportedly going to put me in got yanked 'cuz someone bought it. So they put me in a brand new, 2018 Nissan Frontier DoubleCab. <sigh> But it's a decent enough truck. But I was not aware anyone made a shorter pickup bed than the DoubleCab Tacoma Shortbeds. My '04 has a 61" bed. This Nissan is only some 50-something inches long. So a survey equipment box I had built is too long (!) to fit in this loaner. Oh well...

Just add "Trail damage" to your mods page on TW and no one will know the difference

Meh. My body is lacking 6 vials of blood right now so I'm not as sharp as usual.

FFS, Denver drivers are on a whole other level of stupid. Spent the day running some errands. Road rage, passing on the shoulder, 75-80 in a 40mph zone, and a dude riding a dual sport on knobbies with no plates that had a mountain bike strapped to his back on 225.

You guys that work/commute there are the real heroes.

I have truly devolved into "suburbia domesticus".
I just spent over an hour vacuuming my lawn.

    Feel so ridiculous.

Our house was built in '99. We bought it in '02.
So the lawn's been in place for 20 years. I've always just watered, fertilized, and mowed it and it's looked pretty decent. Aerated 3 or 4 times too.
The last few years it's taken lots more water and fertilizer and still hasn't looked as good.
The Google box taught me about dethatching. Never heard of it before. So I looked around at renting a power rake and it was going to cost $60 and I was going to have to drive a ways to get it. Spent twice as much and bought a plastic electric one off Amazon.
    This blew my mind.
    20190425_170055.jpg
The mower wouldn't pick it up so I had to vacuum the stupid lawn with a leaf blower/sucker. Filled 5 lawn and garden bags with the thatch.
