Very nice !! They both have their benefits, that's for sure. I was in the field for almost 10 years then got pulled into the office about a year ago. Man i miss being in the field :frusty::rofl: but it was time for me to come into the office so i can experience that side of the job for when/if i get that fancy stamp.

I always wished i had gone the PE/PLS route. Quite a few guys and gals in my class at SIU were going after the dual license. I was young and dumb and just wanted to graduate so i could "make that $$". Regrets were made. haha

Amen! Good for you brother. I was schooling while in the field working long days and ended up dropping out before I could test for the SIT.

CAD's easy peasy. I breezed through it. Let me know if you need any help.

I've used AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architectural, 3DSMax and Solidworks.
    I'm actually certified in Solidworks.

That's legit! I know there's a ton of other applications for CAD that I'm not using on a daily basis. Just not sure if I'm going to be surveying for the rest of my days or not.

I love the work and I love the people I work with, just hard to make $ unless your signing the stuff

Amen. I really do love surveying tho! Had a chance to break off and had a buddy's uncle that was going to invest in me and 2 other guys to start our own little operation.

Think about it all the time how awesome it would have been. But, that's life! Ugh, again lol.

Master's get the money. Plus they get their own stamps!

I only have an Associates myself, but I make do. Best paying job I've ever had now. Doubled my previous wages and it goes up 2.5% yearly.

I'm also good with MasterCAM. but you'll never need that.

My software license died though, so I need to pick up something like Fusion360 or something. Or see if I can't contact my old college teacher and score another student key.

Got some mail. Everything is here but the rear shocks- I changed my mind last minute to get 5125s valved at 170/60 instead of the typical 255/70.
34832.jpg I'm going to keep lathering on the pb blaster and when I finish up my finals in a few days I will have to under the truck with a pressure washer to get all the crud off.
