The big ass dent in my tailgate looks like I use it alot lol

goodness, that is a bunch of rust

 

We all have at least one of those stories.

 

Apparently, the first 6 years of it's life were in Vermont. It's horrendous. I'm surprised the frame is as good as it is. All the original rubber is shot, I think. I've replaced a large majority of the undercarriage with new parts, but this is the worst part of the truck for rust. The original owner only put about 5-7k miles on it per year, so it survived pretty well, I think.

 

I was performing rear trailing arm recalls on L-series Saturn's, back in the day. Had one come back and smack me on the shoulder. It left a mark like a mushroom stamp lol

 

Laying under a Willys Jeep and dropped the entire rear axle on the bridge of my nose. Twas a bloody affair.

 

Had my hand whacked by a leaf spring pack installing a drop kit on my 1st S-10 when I was 17, before I knew to support the frame instead of the axle.

...and on another note, the stuff I was expecting to get fired for...well I'm not fired! I'm on a sort of probation for a bit, and a forced day off. I can keep my paycheck! Woohoo!

Absolutely! A Real Union goes to bat for the members. Works things out where there's some Leeway. Unfortunately, others can be just a users fee for coming to work.

 

Yeah, I've seen that. Sad, but true. Fortunately, mine...while they don't negotiate well, they do stand up for their peple.

My 12 years of service DID play a part though.
