Order of priority in my opinion:

    1) verify tire load rating (avoid E load rating, find a P rated tire) maybe can get by with C load but with that base model a P load is plenty
    2) Front shocks/struts - just replace to some 4600 and a comparable coil to stock. Will drive wayyyyyyy better than it ever has before
    3) Remove body lift - I don't know much about body lifts but what's unclear is if something else was done to the truck while adding the body lift. So what else would need to be done by removing it? shortening steering column, shortening lines or whatever.. I would do the other two points and do this last but definitely at some pint get rid of the body lift

Can I ask why everyone reverted to the body lift causing stiffness in ride? I understand the lack of a bushing but I can’t imagine that being 100% his issue. No bushing would mostly caused increased vibrations, etc. Not ride stiffness.

Those coils on the other hand don’t look very appealing. Who’s shock is that? Is that a Fabtech as well? You may have too much spring rate and possibly need new shocks or a shock service.

I do agree with @chrispchicken9 though. I’d look into the suspension and tires before automatically removing the body lift.

I didn't say that at all. I did say the BL would contribute to "poor handling during windy conditions"

Yup we've already said shocks and coils are the main problem, read the whole thread

Rear looks perfectly fine to me. Can you get on the tailgate and bounce it some?

    I did.

Most of you reverted to removing the body lift first and a few mentioned a topped out shock.

I'm not entirely sure if those are stock or not.. I'm not well versed in the 5 lug world. That being said, there has to be some sort of lift component in the rear unless the previous owner was going for that dumb "front raised" look.

That red thing right there might be an add a leaf, especially since it does not match the finish of the other leafs.

Probably not a big deal if the OP decides to get a better quality front lift. I would still remove the body lift though, anything more than 1" is asking for problems.

I wonder how much stuff was extended (gas tube, shifters, steering, etc)

Yeah, maybe just see where it sits after changing out the fronts, too much rake, remove the leaf I suppose

Yes, I can jump up and down in the rear and its actually quite smooth I would think. I used to load my dirtbike in it every day and it took it like a champ.

Okay. I will do the front suspension first with new shocks and coils. See where it sits. And if it rakes to much, then I will remove that rear spring that looks out of place.

yea I think the others are correct, there may have been an Add a Leaf above your overload leaf.
Personally I like the rear being a little bit more stiff - helps for carrying loads. If it were me I'd keep it in

Yea I most definitely agree. If that spring is what holds my truck up with so much weight in the back, I probably will keep it in.
