What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I have the same decals, only....well ya know...for my truck lol. TRD Sport. Did you have any trouble getting them "installed"....applied, whatever you want to call it?

I tried the wet method with the first one, then said to hell with that on the second one and put it on dry...no issues and no bubbles, not that my old tired eyes can see at least.

Some people used the Volant scoop. If you were going that route I would order it then measure the diameter of the outlet. That way your order the correct reducer coupling.

No they went on fine. Just pushed from the center out 1/2 at a time. I did drop the first set on the garage floor and ruin one but that was my own dumb fault haha

I changed my cabin and air filters last night.. Been far too long.

What's scary is I literally have ZERO memory of when I did my engine air filter last, but know it was within the last 20k miles or so, which is too long here in Vegas. We have so much dust and such that it needs to be more frequent.

 

Our shifters have an internal bushing to minimize road noise and vibrations, but as they get old they get sloppy. I could have injected the handle with epoxy or JB weld, but I thought this was cooler.

Painted the pinch weld today . Second time ,did it about 2-3 years ago I think .

That's a great idea, except I can't find any

 

Now weld say a1 1/4 in socket on for weighted shift knob

 

I personally would have gone with a metric wrench.

Jk. Looks nice, uncomfortable af, but nice.

 

I know, I wanted to use a 19mm but I actually use all my metric wrenches so I had a hard time sacrificing one. I went for a quick test drive and it's not the most comfortable thing. I'll give it time but I may add a shift knob up top. Maybe grind the sides smooth, cut the top closed wrench off and add a knob. That'd be a cool look, a bit less redneck.

Just weld nuts together. Just use smaller nuts than this.
