Hello TW! Been on here for a couple months now and so far the community and information here is awesome. So much stuff to learn

I am based in San Diego and noticed a lot of you are in this area too. I am new to the Tacoma and off-roading world so if any of you have pointers, tips, tricks or any cool trails in the SD area, please let me know!

I have a 2019 OR 4x4 DCSB with about 3500 miles on it. I drove it off the lot with 15 miles on it about two months ago. This last week I heard an odd noise coming from passenger side of the block. It makes the loud sound for a short period of time after being started then the clicking subsides slightly but continues quietly. Although I am pretty mechanically inclined, I am new to the Atkinson cycle, so there is a lot to learn in terms of the different sounds the engine makes. I was looking to see if anyone had experienced this on their truck before? Should I be alarmed?

I have no sound right now, but if it's what I can only assume it is. It may be the cleaning cycle for the injectors?

Every once in a while the truck will fire another set of fuel injectors to help clean gunk off some internal parts. #eli5 worthy

I'll expand on my post in this thread. There's a metric shit ton of 3rd gens in my locale. Also one convenient gas station. I've heard a bunch of 3rd gens idling. They all sound like subdued diesels Including mine. It's OK.
