Vettel will go fast on the straights, lock 'em up in the hairpin, get passed, rinse & repeat. Everyone else seems to get the braking & turning idea...

 

Looks like a late brakers dream track. I predict a lot of running wide into each other.

Hopefully it works out. I'd like to see Honda succeed and throw a wrench in this years Championship. I have my doubts that Ferrari is going to.

Oh that's a good one. Max has the capability given the right track for the Honda/RB combo.....I'd like to see it and I think the odds on this are around 50-50.

Yep that happens. Kvyat has a record too. Them starting side by side should make for some entertaining standing starts. Again.

 

Maybe at Indy, but not likely in F1....

 

That was my point and why I quoted the story of Alonso's Chevy breaking down. It's likely a Honda will win a race in F1 this year too though. Max and Ricciardo won races last year so it's possible Max will again this year with a seemingly better PU than Renault.

 

I hope you're right - getting tired of Mercedes dominating and Ferrari underperforming.

My wife and I drive Hondas, so we're supporters.

 

I find myself fast forwarding through more and more of the races as time goes on now even skipping quali. The lack of competition From P1-P7 has caused my interest to drop. It is just not entertaining to watch Merc run laps around everyone in terms of pace and strategy and reliability. Sure there will be races like possibly this weekend at Baku that someone else may have a chance but those are the minority.

 

I think Red Bull will definitely win at least 1 race this year

 

I think it's cool still even though I don't like MB or Lewis. History in the making that rivals Ferrari/Schumacher.

 

Still the pinnacle of motorsport but just wish it was a more thrilling competition between 3-4 teams at the top vs the current 1 team leading and 2 chasing.

Same thing in LMP1 in endurance racing with Audi and Porsche leaving just not as much fun to watch right now.

 

I first tried to get into watching F1 back when Schumacher was dominating with Ferrari. Looked to me like every race was just a mega million dollar parade. Plus US television coverage really sucked. Took me many, many, years to come back to the sport. If they can't figure out how to more equitably split prize money and therefore create more competitive racing there will be a lot of potential new fans who will take an initial look and just walk away. Maybe they come back on years to come like I did or more likely they never will.

 

I'd really like to see this as well. It would be very good for F1 as a whole.
