Youre mighty well off in my neck of the woods on 70k let alone 100k.

 

I wasn’t lucky enough to be on one of the new trains, they’re nice. 90% of the trains are the original rolling stock from the 1960’s.

I’ve posted the article on this a bunch but if you’re a family making $100k in the Bay Area you’re considered low income.

Found that pic the other day cleaning out the camera folder on my phone, took it last summer while getting ready to go fly fishing

 

F that, luckily we've maintained upper 70s - low 80s but that'll change probably next month

It's that way in the midwest too, my cousin makes what I do living in Liberty, MO and owns a 2 story house. I couldn't dream of doing that here

 

But you are pretty much guranteed to not make what you make out in CA if you move here. So it evens out, sorta. And gas finally hit $2.85 yesterday btw.

Pretty common around here some guys use huge cages fitted to the oldest most rickety trucks to haul piles of used goods to Mexico

 

We have a dude in an old nissan hardbody with a cage around the bed thats at least 5 feet taller than the cab that collects scrap metal in my neighborhood. Kinda terrifying if you get behind him.
