man I'm tired...was up for hours last night just stressed with my mind running. way too much going on in life right now for me and I'm just ready for a lot of it to be over with...

sucks ASS. so tired of it man. talking with the contractors tonight we are looking at a full completion before the end of May..

 

going to end over budget and over time originally planned. I feel most projects do though.

 

correct and correct. which that stuff doesn't necessarily bother me too bad when you understand the what/why/how behind it all. I'm just tired of not really being a priority to someone who convinced me to hire them because they'd devote so much effort and time to me.

I've had to chew ass at least 10 times to my contractors for them not doing shit right or not even showing up to work.

 

how many reviews or references did you get on the guy?

 

we got them off Angie's List. They had good reviews/recommendations.

Nobody we knew personally had a good reference for the work so we had to resort to trusting Angie's List.

They are great subcontractors, they are terrible project managers. I think it's the biggest project they've ever had, they said they usually only get a kitchen, or a bathroom, not both at once.

 

I do wish I could do more on my own, and honestly that I had more time to learn and do it. These projects were just really beyond anything I could do but I'm dead set from here on not hiring a contractor unless I just absolutely (or legally) cannot do something. I just don't want to be in this house for 10 years so this stuff needs done to be sold.

 

haha good advice! I know it'll pass it's just hard right now.

plus I had a phone interview yesterday that I'm really hoping went well and I'm just nervous about the outcome of that too..

 

I'm just pushing for the end of May to be here! I have a beach trip in June so that can't get here soon enough either lol
