And how would you rate the improvement? I feel like my factory system sounds decent already but if it’s night and day I would definitely switch. Also would this be the same for 2nd gen? I have a 2015.

Truth right there. Cb doesn't really matter until you try to figure where you're mounting your antenna. Then you have to get an appropriate length antenna cable. But that's pretty much it.

No idea on the 2nd gen. But yeah, it's a big difference. Even my wife noticed it and she said she wouldn't. I had already replaced the head unit so this was the next logical step. Still on the fence about adding a sub.

A little something every chance we get.
@MattCowsmasher took his out. Mine truck looks to have a harness for one (granted older), but just an SR5. I wonder if you do to, but have no idea if you could plug a 2.5 gen into a 3!

Your bed inverter/power supply IIRC - because of the anytime fog mod?

Ryan - you want to borrow the portable I got from @MattCowsmasher to tryout at Jambo? If we can meet up sometime, I'll be glad to lend it to you to try. It is a good Cobra, but I havent used it yet. Fresh batteries and a charger tho! It's ready to road trip!

2nd Gen 2.5 is HUGE better than the early 2 gens. I replaced my head just to have useful sound choices, but the old speaker are not very good. I might have a watt or two over the stock, and I don't need womp bass. I saw someone on TW put Infinity in a old 2 gen, and they loved them, so was curious what he was doing as well. I like the stereo over original, but would like it to sound a little more better.

That may certainly be the case with DC's but in AC land the early 2nd Gens at least had grills/openings in the rear door panels. Newer 2nd Gens do not. So I gotta figure out a way to do that tastefully which is almost impossible with my pea brained OCD mind. :frusty:

Send me a pic of your back door sometime. You saying they have a place, but not an opening?

Thanks again bud. The DS don't fit the early 2 gens, but the CS do, so I can compare those to the Infinity.

Yes. The metal door part has a cutout. The interior door panel, does not.
