Yeah it’s totally true. The avocado toasters got their foot in the door awhile back. They/we aren’t so bad. Just WAAAAYYYY over opinionated about things they/we don’t actually have any business having opinions about. They/we don’t eat soap, so that’s basically the selling point.

yep....they tried doing that video disappearing act on me as well when i caught them not rotating my tires......they shoed me one that was from two different angles.....both were missing 4.5 min of video......called in the GM with my complaint and he fired the service manager on the spot......refunded my money and re-serviced the truck for 20k service

I got a place that has a basement. Never knew about that basement life up until that point. I’m all about it.

That’s the ultimate life hack. I went to high school with a few early adopters of this strategy. Still living at home at 46 and transitioning to elder-care for their aging parents. Pretty soon the pad will be theirs. They gotta be considering ways to “speed up the process” with ma and pa by now.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the youth of today. If I could have so few cares and worries, I’d be a better person.

It’s not an argument. Just poking some fun. Don’t take deep offence. Sorry about that if you did.

When you get into a car accident and you don’t have blood flowing from your ass, does that mean damage is minimal and you don’t have internal injuries? Some of which may take days or weeks to surface. Just sayin :notsure:

I think he’s referencing the influx of issues that are affecting Toyota vehicles, their dealerships, and associated Toyota stuff that weren’t this high in past years.

I would request that they buy your truck from you for full retail value. That is what an insurance company would pay out in the event of a total loss.

Scott, if this were my shop, I would be looking at a couple of things. First, if I repaired the vehicle, will it be to the condition it was before it came in. If not, I need to talk strategy with management to get you into another vehicle. You might have to throw down some for this-depreciation and all but you should be made whole, as in excellent vehicle condition for purposes of value calculation and if the dealer is worth his salt, any out of pocket should be small.

I wouldn't want the truck back if there was any possibility of frame damage. The way the hood is bent, suggests there could be. Even if the body shop straightens it, what happens in a collision? And you tow with it.

I also know that even tho I expect to return it to its prior condition, that might not be perfect. My question for you is what is the dealer's warranty? If something major is found, how will that be resolved? If you drive it and don't think it's perfect, then what?

Remaining calm is a good choice. It means you can focus on logical thinking vs making irrational decisions based solely on emotion-never a good plan. Finding out what you are entitled to vs what the dealer is offering is always good, it helps you decide.

Personally, I wouldn't want it back. I don't care if it's fixed or not, there would always be questions regarding its suitability of purpose.

    Good luck.
