I used cquartz uk 3.0 and I did this all by myself. Long process, but worth it!

Agreed! I had mines professionally done. Washing the truck is a breeze now. I did have to clay bar it the other day and it went back to being smooth just like the day it was detailed. No more waxing for me for the next couple of years

Looks good. What if I’ve put on wax, can this go over that or does the finish have to be virgin paint?

I’m not 100% sure to be honest my friend. I don’t see it harming the coating by any means

I’m just wondering if it’ll stick to paint that has a good amount of wax already on it. I’ll research it

No you must strip the wax. I clayed the truck first then I buffet it out with polish to remove all the swirls then a cleaning agent to remove all contaminants then applied the sealant

Edit also the truck can not be exposed to any water or moisture. It needs 24 hours to cure

How long did it take you? Also, did you get the 30mL or 50mL kit?
Just curious how much I'd need.

    I bought the 30ml
You don’t need that much. Some say you can double coat it but I just did a single coat. I still have about half maybe for another truck.

Been wanting to do this, but it seems this would be tuff to do if one doesn't have a garage. Are there different type of ceramic coating that do not require this step, or is it all the same across the board?

Make sure you watch some YouTube video on how to apply it!

I gave her it’s first wash today and all the dirt fell off with ease!
