First of all, you do not even want to know what I would have done.

Secondly, who the hell replaces a water pump, “just because it felt like it was time?!” Its a timing chain driven motor....and the waterpumps on timing chain driven toyotas don’t exactly fail...

No shit. I’ve fucked up my share of times but something I will always remember is my mom telling me if you lie about it, it will only get worse but if you tell the truth then there will still be consequences but not nearly as bad. But all that is pretty much common sense… at least you’d think but seems that’s been lacking for some time now

Edit: on topic OP I wouldn’t want it back and I don’t give 2 shits if “it’s just a truck”. For me this is my 1st brand new vehicle so that makes it kid #3 for me.

It doesn't work that way kids. This is really no different vs. if a cellphone using Ashely smashed into it in an Applebee's parking lot across from a Forever21 on a Friday at happy hour.

Dont know why you chose tp pick me outta all the people who said it but....
considering I actually know someone else (brother in law) that this happen to I can say that if he actually pushed the issue he could get most likely get a new truck. Granted there was a little more damage on my bil truck.

If I went to the dealership for a recall or whatever, and had something like this happen , I would say , so now I have to call here and there, take it here or there, do this test and that test? Enough already! I didn’t come here to possibly spend more money than I already owe, that’s just stupid. I would like a new truck please, so let’s talk
