I disagree. Ford owners replace their whole trucks just because it feels like its time. 1 mile before warranty expires that is.:D

Unless you open your mouth, the dealership will do the bare minimum to get you to sign off on being satisfied.

I'd be pissed, but if they agreed to fix it on their dime, I'm not sure what else there is to do about the situation. It sucks, but I'd file it under shit happens.

If this were a car, I’d say extended warranty blah blah. But if you use the truck for the intended purpose, off roading and hauling shit on a highway, then failure could be catastrophic either for you in the woods and or deadly for the chump behind you. Good luck!

Not sure why you’re trying to argue over a joke? It was a joke about how dealership techs seem to over tighten things but claim it’s to manufacturer specifications

The type of lift hes describing sounds like a two post 4 arm that lifts the truck by the frame. The ONLY reason his truck would fall is because it was not properly placed/supported on the lift. Brakes would not affect the situation.

I can tell you that’s wrong. It’s a cable from the e-brake handle to the rear drums. I know this because when I lifted my truck and tried to drive it out of the garage when I finished it wouldn’t budge. The e-brake cable had to be relocated because it was pulled tight

Agreed. I own a small business. It's a pretty relaxed environment. I've got gaming consoles, TV, computers, etc. for the employees to use whenever we have downtime. I tell them they can run errands as well...BUT, whenever we have work to do, the work comes first. I've had my fair share of employees who make mistakes. Being a service oriented business, when we go out for a repair and then have to go back because the repair wasn't done correctly, it ends up costing me a lot more money than the employees realize. On top of that, whenever I have to spend extra money to fix something that wasn't done right, it's less money for employee raises, etc. It's also less money to be able to hire more techs (I can't hire the guy who was fired for not doing his previous job). Mistakes can be made, but make them right and learn from them so as not to keep repeating. I've eaten thousands of dollars making things right due to laziness or unwillingness to become a better person.

I hope nobody takes this personal, was just following to see the outcome of the truck.

I wouldn't be surprised if they electrified them, they seem to want to complicate everything about them now. Like a damn BMW.

Just saw this post; wow! When I first saw the truck and they told me what happened I wouldn't have said anything except my lawyer will be in touch with you, have a nice day, and walk out. No way on earth I would accept the truck back. Even if I lost legally and lost a bunch of cash, still better than driving down the road some day and something from that drop causes an accident and maybe hurts or kills me or someone else. Walk away and move on.
