Question for you experts? What kind of lift would you recommend for a 2019 Tacoma Off Road? I love the look of the 6" with 35's but I may be going with the 3" and 33's as it is more affordable. I use my Tacoma as a daily driver, but plan on hitting the trails some weekends. Which set up would you guys recommend for my type of use, including tires. Thanks in advance.

@sd1uh8as I'm playing around with 2200 or so. Sadly I would have to have a shop install it as well since I am not the most handy person :(. There are things I can do myself, but I feel like I would end up dead if I messed with my suspension lol. I had a shop quote me 850 for Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts up front with 1/2" billet top spacer, dif drop and rear block kit, installation and alignment. I asked if the truck would ride any stiffer. They told me if anything, the truck will ride better. Second shop to tell me that with a 3" lift. Side note. Both of those shops have great reviews.

@Mully I went off roading for the first time a few days ago and had an amazing time, with my stock Taco. Can't wait to upgrade the shit out of it and do more with it.

@whatstcp Hello. Thanks for the response. I live in Oregon, so we get tons of rain and tons of snow sometimes. I will be using my truck as my daily driver, so mostly highway. Now that I've hit the trails for the first time, I am hooked. Don't plan on doing any rock climbing with the truck at all. Just hitting different trails here and there.

If you're not comfortable regearing you may want to be careful going up to a 35 inch tire. You will notice power loss with any lift/bigger tires on our trucks but it really becomes a pain once you hit 35 from what I have read. I'm not planning to go to anything bigger than 33 until much later in the trucks life.

Then just stay stock and go trail-running for a little bit more. The more you go out,the more you can figure out what you need instead of just blowing a bunch of money on a suspension you'll barely be using to it's full potential

    With all due respect.
    This statement is absolutely FALSE!
Better ground clearance. Retains your suspension fully range of articulation. Your front diff is as well, if in some cases better protected then stock.

    Back to the OP question?
In the long run if you really want a 6" lift with 35" tires? you should suck it up and just do it!
It will actually save you money in the long run.
Do it once do it the way you want it and never have to do it again!

If you go 3" then later decide to do the 6" then that will be almost double the cost if you just did it right the first time!

I have link in my Sig. about the different type of lifts.

    Good Luck!

Drop brackets keep the geometry factory/stock. A 3" lift with 33's or even 35's will have MOAR clearance than a 6" lift with 35's.

@tacomaccountant Yeah. I've read a lot of people saying that 35" tires give them problems. How much does rehearing typically cost?

I'm not sure on cost out the door. I haven't researched pricing since I don't plan to do it for a while. I think tacomabeast and maxx powell both have videos on it thought.

6112 front 5160 rear and your choice of rear spring pack. I have ome Dakar but I'd rather have something with rubber bushings. Put them on yourself it's not hard. Then get it aligned. You will be under your budget with that setup.
