    @skatefreak282

    It said it fit my truck, but the sensor doesn't seat ALL the way in... sometimes if I go thru deep water, even driving thru the city, the associated wheel sensor lights come on until this sensor dries out.

    Silicone to keep the water out woman.

    Although the odor of it may keep rodents out for a while.

    HD sells deer away, not sure if it works on squirrels, but I bet it does. You might consider spraying some of that around for a few days. It’s going to be looking for it’s candy.

    IMO I think it’s misplaced. There’s a lot of people on here who run the not-a-snorkel and have no issues. Of course that’s not to say there’s potential for it, but it’s better than stock location with no fender liner.

    I agree with this with having an open hole on the fenderwell for a while I think this is a solid approach and I never had an issue with water to any degree although I would only bomb puddles up to a little over half of my wheels. That said...I had to hit a puddle at 50-60 to really get it to splash like crazy on the hood which is when it would trickle down. Sure this method leaves some opportunity for water, but without doing something intense in water I would be surprised if it got much in it.

    Anything is better than stock with no snorkel, I'm not convinced enough to say the 'not snorkel' is a bad idea, but I also haven't seen anyone on the east coast with one.

    When the water is up over the top of the wheels, even with a good bow wave, you're going to get a massive amount of water on the hood and pouring down the wind-shield into that opening. That's what I'm afraid of.

    I don't anticipate hitting water that hard to create a wave like that. Also... why are ya hitting water that hard without being able to see what's beneath it.

    In any case, this will work for me. Maybe not for everyone, bit for me it should work.

    What were you planning on doing for yours @Arcticelf

    I have had water hit the front half of the hood, but generally it never really sloshed much to the middle back unless I was bombing it and I tend to drive faster than most especially on the east. Could be my hood arrangement is different though since I got a glass one and I know it is slightly warped up high and I have 4" glass fenders which help mitigate stuff for up top but cakes me on the sides. Regardless it would be a low priority for me considering my experience with a naked fenderwell. Now for dust...I would still vote snorkel although the results might be similar with this proposed arrangement.
