    Not sure if anyone posted this but apparently this weekend is tax free on emergency supplies in Texas. It would be a good time to grab a fire extinguisher or anything else you might need for your camping/wheeling setup.

    As for my volunteer duties.

    I will be leading trails:

    Friday at 9AM
    Saturday at 9AM and again 11:30AM (Orange Group; Numero Dos)

    Additionally, I am happy to present two sessions on Trail Comms at 11AM, and after lunch at One.



    During the event; I am more than happy to offer the following services and advice:

    Re-program your handheld radios and some Race Radios
    Test and Check your radio power output
    Test and Check your Reflected power (SWR or antenna tuning) on CB, FM radios with removable antennas
    General advice on options for trail communications

    I am seeing some of the popular handheld radios calling it quits after a few mins of transmitting on high power (The Baofeng 8Watt) Let me know if you are having this issue, and let me make a quick setting fix for you.

    But I possibly could help out on Saturday if needed.

    Which setting fix are you needing to do on the Baofeng 8Watts as I have one of those for my around camp radios when I am not in the truck.
