I was thinking about discussing that very issue with her insurance. Wonder what they will say... I bet they'll tell me to get fucked.

Don't know who did it. Truck didn't even have 100 miles on it. It probably looked like it needed a good kicking so someone was just helping me out.

I was lucky and got all OEM parts and not aftermarket. Whole new composite bed, rear bumper, bed outlet, and right side bed skin and brake light.

It was an accident pure and simple, people can be distracted, careless or just not good at backing up.

She has insurance, you have the information, work with her insurance company to make sure it's fixed to your satisfaction.

It's not the end of the world and the reason we have insurance in the first place.

There are worst things in the world to be pissed about.

I had my pristine 20 yr old sports car rear ended in a parking lot last year, less than 5mph and $2300 in damages. It was frustrating but not the end of the world. I got the car fixed and life moved on.

I don't think it's the end of the world and i don't think anyone implied that it was. I am more frustrated that now I have to take time out of my day in the future to deal with fixing it. I am also going to be a little pissed if it makes my resale value go down because of a ding on my carfax.

A LOT of women drivers ( not all) and kids are oblivious to their surroundings. I see them backing while looking at their phone, car waiting with blinker on for stall but too busy brushing their hair or checking their phone or messing with their radio.
I got rear ended by a girl checking her text (admitted) , a woman too busy whatever the fuck she was doing and got t-boned running a red light .
Now it's a habit to look both ways to go through intersections.
Before I bought the Tacoma, I ordered a front/ rear dashcam . There can be no dispute when it's recorded. New cars have too much technology to distract drivers. It's dangerous out there.

On this note, don't get a cheap dash cam.
A good unit should handle the high heat inside during summer, auto adjust contrast/ exposure etc.
A lot of rear camera have very low resolution so you need to check to make sure it's at least 720p. Most fronts are 1080p. Anything lower and you won't be able to make out the license plate in case you get rear ended and the driver takes off.
