does toyota do drop tests on their truck to see if everything works afterwards......i don't think that kind of reliability testing is done.......so 3' or 6', it doesn't matter.....i agree with others, there could be damage that does not manifests itself for 1000+ miles.....then try and get them to believe it was from the previous drop.....good luck

    Nothing yet.
I would want a new truck at a fantastic price with one heck of a trade in. They made a huge mistake that could've hurt more than the eye can see.

I don't hate the body style but I certainly don't like the 230hp it came with or all the interior noises it has surely developed by now lol.

So the attorney can get enough hours in to make his boat payment and tell him his not entitled to any kind of punitive damages or loss of consortium

    1. Well wish me luck boys I'll be heading into the dealership in a couple hours. (Because today really is my last day before i leave for a while... which i guess it's not like i couldn't just talk on the phone in europe or do emails just fine)

    2. I've talked to my insurance contact point (not provider... yet) the guy is like super invested in the story now and wants me to follow up.
He also gave a lot of great advice to counter these freak-hope-the-never-happen type things but are things I need to cover my butt for.

    3. He and many others think I've given the dealership some really solid options and contrary to what some have suggested (jokingly or not) I've been really very calm and understanding with the dealer and just kind of letting them make things right and step up.

    4. I allowed the service manager to take my truck out for extensive driving last night.

    5. I appreciate you all... never would have thought to get 20 pages of responses in less than 24hrs (granted some are a random side conversation, haha)

Water damage, electrical and gremlins… maybe it’s fine now maybe a gremlin pops up down the road but having a clear conscience is priceless.

If you truly believe it’s not going to be any future issues and you replaced a bunch of stuff then why not disclose? Just saying purposely not disclosing in of itself seems suspect/suspicious.

I'd ask for all new paint job. Your truck will look weird with newly painted front fenders and hood and everything else scratched up, IMO.

Didn't quote all of them, but regarding this discussion:

The guy got fired by his boss, not by the customer. You think you can step in and save the day? You probably can't.

A guy who does a good job doesn't get fired for not rotating tires when he should have. One time is a mistake...multiple times is a decision. Most likely the guy had made the DECISION to fuck people over many times for a wide range of services/money. So there was probably a history there that the boss knew about and customer didn't, and it's really none of the customer's business.

The guy got fired for being a dishonest POS...shoulda been thinking about his family and their food before he did it. Good riddance

How about the rear end and the rear drive shaft? If it fell off the lift and landed on the rear tires, it could have jarred this forward, thus having a vibration more detectable at highway speeds or off-roading.

    (Specific reply in bold above)

I still think full disclosure would be Best but obviously that’s my opinion and you can/will do you. Wouldn’t you like to at least know what you were buying into
