Yup. Toyota in their 2012 press launch of the Baja said TRD engineers worked with Bilstein to find the perfect valving for the TRD shocks based on the 6112 and 5160s. I think it more likely they just put stickers on them. I haven’t heard anyone say they went from TRD bilsteins to off the shelf bilsteins and felt much of a difference.

I have 125k on my Baja setup. Mostly highway and while the rear shocks started to leak at 20k the front has been solid. I think this summer I will look like a set of Fox 2.5s.

I will snap a better pic tomorrow...its just a basic kartek 3 point harness to strap the wheel down on the bed with a bike lock threading through the wheel so it doesn't get jacked. Works well when flying through stuff.

Replaced my @ 75k with Kings.

Nothing wrong with the Baja Shocks. I really wasn't looking forward to replacing them but I bent my LCA and replaced it with TC LCA and the bushing shocks are not supposed to be used with the TC LCA

This problem happened to me. I recently replaced my LCA due to seized cam bolts and while I had it apart I was going to install the 1” Baja spacer. After having the shocks off the truck I found that the coil had cracked. My pro has 58k and I purchased it with 40k. So not sure when it happened or what caused it. Truck was from the east coast so maybe the salt?

I’m now in search of replacing the coils. Since this kit is discountined, I find it hard finding just the coils for sale. I’ve come across used icon coils for sale which seem to be a good replacement due to it being 13” length and 650lb spring rate.

Would these be a good replacement? Also, what kind of lift would I achieve if i installed 14” king coils, as it seems these are more popular being sold used. I’m not quite ready to upgrade suspension as it seems my original shocks are still in good condition.

Here’s a photo of the cracked coil.

I have some new FOX coils. 13"x3" 600lbs. If they'll work and your interested I can sell them to you for cheap.

The dealer replaced the broken one with that OE TRD Pro spring. I was able to find another TRD pro one online and had both replaced.
I know they were not easy to track down

Found the Baja springs for $99. This is the cheapest I’ve seen them.
