No problem, we are all about helping each other out.

Mine rubs, and it sounds like hell sometimes. I feel like I am ripping the plastic off. Then I get out and look and there is barely any marks. So I just said the heck with it.

I run 265/70r17 Ridge Grapplers on the 17" Ray 10s. Ultimately I will bump up to 285s and when I do I will do the pinch weld mod, the cab mount chop (CMC) and cut this plastic all the way off. I plan on keeping the truck forever anyway.

Sounds like you got yourself a plan. I got ideas on things for later, but I got 8yrs on warranty so trying to avoid things like lifts and such...FOR NOW. lol

Lifts don't void your warranty. Hell, dealers sell vehicles lifted. Sometimes too dam high.

But if you have a plan in place, starting with @SCSPerformance wheels is the perfect place to begin!

    :fistbump:

Ordered my dark bronze 16x8 Ray10s. Picked up a few days later - local pickup. Spoke with Vuth, very nice guy. Checked out the insane 2nd gen tacoma displayed in their gallery shots. (it was parked at their warehouse).
Can't wait to mount these wheels along with my lift. Love this shade of bronze - its got a chroma effect to it...the way the luminance changes in light and shade.

Yes. ILBEATU posted these in response to being asked what brushed bronze looks like in post #4639 of this thread. I know he purchased the brushed bronze from the dedicated 17 x 9 thread (post #2388). I've been watching both threads since I recently purchased 2 sets of the 17 by 9's.

    SR5 here.

This is the exact combo that I am running.

Had some decent rub until I broke out the heat gun and did what @Rob Daman did in his video (minus the dremel part). Was able to reduce the rubbing to minimal but wifey still didn't like it and demanded I'd order a lift. So I ordered some Fox 2.5's next day. What can I say... happy wife, happy life. :D

    You’ll have to change to

“Black on black on black on bronze”

OK, so one day the inventory will come back in and the frenzy to buy these rims will return, but before then I want some input. I can't decide between Jet Black or the Gunmetal for my '16 Blazing Blue Taco. I love em both and just can't pin down which to frantically punch the 'BUY' button on when the inventory comes back around.

Definitely not looking for the 'pop' from the dark or brushed copper/bronze or the gray. Got those large aftermarket flares (not by choice) and don't know if I want MORE black, or offset it with the gunmetal.

Anyone else anxiously awaiting the next restock and watching the inventory thread?

I started drooling when I saw your post but I'm trying to stay strong, I don't need to go 17x9...I keep repeating that to myself, lol.
