WOW!!! I just read up on this now that you have mentioned it. That just sucks. I guess I have to put up 10' cinder block wall to protect people from my 10 lb & 18 lb dogs. Such a crock of BS.

 

To me, an attractive nuisance shouldn’t trump the basic need to leave those things that are not yours alone. Seriously, if I walk up to your dog, reach over the fence and get bit; how is that your fault? In any way?

Thank you for yet another valuable piece of information. I agree with the above, and doesn't parenting keep kids from "playing" in other's yards. Young children should be watched after, and older ones should know better. I can't believe some of the sh*t this country does. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault .

 

Ours also. Although Bark Box would not last a minute with her, so we have a competitor brand for powerful chewers.

 

We have the super chewer option...the toys really last.

 

One thing to consider if you plan to hike or camp with your dog is while you have their paw in your hand, use your finger to check between the pads for bits of gravel or thorns. A quick sweep will let you know if anything is in there while utilizing the shake command.

 

Hmm, maybe we'll look into that at the end of this commitment. We are getting tired of the same chews/toys, just different colors. She doesn't seem to mind though

This is great advice. Ever since Riley was a pup, I’ve put fingers between his paws and squeezed his belly like the vet does. When he’s at the vet, they rarely have issues looking in his ears or pads of his feet.

The other benefit is strangers who poke are less likely to get bit.

 

It's all I have left of him now.

 

So sorry you had to lose him. Keep him close by, let him continue being with you in his new home. If you drink well then dammit go splurge on a treat & have a walk down memory lane
