I've been meaning to pull the trigger on the Vehicle OCD products for a long time, and then fate intervened when I won a giveaway sponsored by @salex. This was *not* in exchange for a review, so I'm providing my unvarnished, unbiased opinion below, having just installed the products.

Packaging was nicely arranged and secure:

The product packaging directs you to a website which has links to YouTube installation videos. The videos are excellent.

    Tacoma products are here:

    http://www.salexorganizers.com/Toyota_Tacoma_Console.php

They also sell on eBay and Amazon, that's where I found the products when I was initially researching. Price points are sensible.

I put the glove box organizer together first, and the manufacturing quality is high. These are fairly thick slabs of some kind of high quality poly or composite material, and where they join together the material has nicely dovetailed ends that fit into beveled slots. The fit is tight and secure. The design also includes raised points that allow the pieces to click into place. It took me all of three minutes to assemble and install.

The glove box organizer includes velcro strips to keep it securely in place, and they work. The fit to the glove box is really nice. Very impressed with the quality and utility of the organizer. Everything is instantly accessible now rather than digging through a pile. Now if someone can just help me figure out how to make the slow-release on the glove box work...

Center console organizer has the same design, although it has to be assembled inside the console rather than before. The shorter pieces go in first and then the long one slides down on top. Nice fit, doesn't move around inside the console, and the pieces fit snugly together and don't allow any movement. Every time I trailer my boat, I dig around in there for my trailer lock key and my harness adapter. Never again.

    IMG_0353.jpg

Lastly I installed the center console tray. This was more difficult than I thought. I couldn't figure out exactly how it was supposed to sit until I talked to @salex and he sent me a photo. There's a lip on both sides of the tray and I wasn't sliding it under the console cover's hinge high enough to sit on the console edge. Once I found the right spot though, it fit perfectly. the tray can slide back and forth somewhat in the console, not the full length, but enough to expose most of the space below it. Console can only be closed with it in the rearmost position, and it doesn't slide around at all. The design is really nice, because you can slide it back and forth but it won't move and clink around on its own while driving. Perfect place to put change.

So to sum it all up, had I seen these organizers in someone else's truck I would have bought them in a heartbeat. I'm very particular and do a lot of research before I buy even inexpensive stuff like this. This is one of those things where you have to see the product up close. If you're thinking about these I suggest watching the install videos, they give you a much better idea of the quality than the photos on Amazon. The value on these is excellent, they're high-quality, smartly designed, and serve a very useful purpose. Highly recommend.

Edit: Tray installation and product video near the bottom of the Amazon listing:

My bed mat arrived today as well, so all in all, pretty good day for my truck!

Do you have the tray too? When I was first looking at these I don't remember seeing the tray. It's pretty nice. Forgot to mention it has a nice rubberized lining at the bottom.

Perfect place for sunglasses and the rubber liner keeps them from sliding around.

Very nice review. You have gone above and beyond.

Each of these Tacoma products has a simple installation video on the Amazon product listing. Also on the Salex Organzers Youtube channel. After a PM today with @Hook78 it prompted me to go out to my Tacoma and shoot a quick video to make it easy to install. I made these products for my 2012 Tacoma when I bought it new. Never would have guessed it would be my full time gig a few years later. Many thanks to all the support from TW and the members.

Also worth mentioning is our Amazon promo. Buy 2 or more Vehicle OCD products and take 20% off your order. No code needed, discount applied in the cart. Easy to find the Tacoma products for Gen2 or Gen3 in the Vehicle OCD Amazon store https://www.amazon.com/vehicleocd

Lastly...I am always proud to mention all Vehicle OCD products are made in Colorado :oldglory:

I looked through your products but didn’t see what I am looking for. Do you make a large tray for a 2015 Tacoma. Looking for one that covers the entire center console and is about 3” deep.

Similar to https://www.amazon.com/Vehicle-OCD-Console-Organizer-2016-2019/dp/B01KI3WG1O but for the 2015 and no center divider.

Sorry, we do not have that. The gen2 Tacoma is tough with the side hinge and side latch.

I’m sure you saw the vendor’s answer but I can confirm that if the tray was any bigger it either wouldn’t allow the console lid to close, or it wouldn’t fit between the lid’s hinges. It’s the geometry of the console lid that constrains the design of the tray. The design of the 3rd gen center console allows for the larger tray.

I wondered the exact same thing when I first looked at the products.
