So, my wife knows I’m handy and has me make stuff all the time. NOW she wants to buy me the highest end Cricut thingamabob and I have no interest in it.

Should I? What would I even do with it?

She’s going off on how it cuts wood, leather, fabric, etc. She also knows that if my niece has a baby girl I’m building a doll house.

Don’t know if I need a Cricut for that, since I’ll simply use the miniature power tools from Harbor Freight for that.

I guess I’ll have to search and see what people actually made with them.

If just vinyl stickers you can get a lot more cutter from uscutters for around the same price. Then you can make bigger stuff.

    Looking great! Outdoor living ftw

You gonna double up that band board in the front? Pretty sure that’s code :) although I admit I have 0 experience with decks where the joists are set on beams and running parallel to the house Also prolly should put lag bolts or grk fasteners into the posts

Looking at the wood and leather stuff, I’m seeing a ton of possibilities.

I see this potentially being quite an expensive hobby, but you can make some cool stuff.

Definitely going to think about it.

Looking for some advice on what to use... I'm making an outdoor patio table out of beer bottle caps, roughly 24" long by 18" wide. It will be an American flag made from all American breweries. I was going to use 1/4" or 1/2" plywood for the base.

I want to cover it with some sort of resin that's clear and will make the table water proof from rain. I'd like the caps to be completely submerged in the stuff. I'm sure some of yous know what I'm talking about. Anyone have experience with that resin stuff? What is it called? Where do I get it?
