What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I did mine on the ground. Not sure that it matter for that bolt.

 

Ground if it's a rubber bushing. Doesn't matter on heims

 

Shit. I torqued mine on with the truck up on jack stands with the wheel off. Good to know.

 

That'll bind the rubber bushing when you set it back on the ground. Things that have a captured rubber bushing should always be torqued at resting height with the vehicle weight on the component

 

Dammit. Well, I guess the good thing is it hasn’t been driven since I put the front tires back on. Traveling for work this week and didn’t want to take it out since the camber is all fucked up. When I get home tonight I’ll get the jackstands back under it to take the pressure off.

All the write ups out there and nobody mentions this, King one-pager didn’t either. Maybe it’s a common sense thing I should’ve known.

 

Doesn't matter on Kings since they have heimes in the rod ends, otherwise I bet they'd metion it

Why did you pop those fresh ADS out anyway? Already getting the free revalve?

 

Nah swapping them to the new truck, gf drives the prerunner now and (despite what she says) doesn’t need ADS for daily driving.

So far so good, got a couple little maintenance things to take care of then gonna get some sliders and skids and hit some trails!

Disagree. I gave up after a dozen clicks around before finding ONE diagram after looking directly for a part. My brain works the other way around - I want to know how things work and fit together and going from the parts diagram explosion from the start is how I prefer it.

Not today but this past wekend and the past few days. Special thanks to @drr for the help with the modifications to the new BudBuilt skids.

 

Is this the only weakness in the skids? Any other mods that Im not noticing?
