    I’ll be curious how your antenna performance turns out. I am under the impression that a 1/2 wave is needed (at least for 2m in this case) for good performance given mounting on a plastic brake housing isn’t a proper ground plane.

    I imagine it won't perform really well but well enough for me. I'm used to just using an HT. I could keep a 1/2 wave in the truck to swap, I'm sure it would perform better, I just really needed the flexibility.

    @mesojdm on the 3rd gen Tacoma KC model do I need to put silicone around the bolt holes to help make it water tight.

    Do we re-use the OEM 3rd brake housing bolts to mount the new MESO 3rd brake light housing or do we need to get new bolts?

    So...I have the KC 5 non NMO.
    I have 5 bolts, 5 washers, 5 blacks cap and 2 metal clips.

    Is the bolts for the lights or brake housing?

    If I understand you correctly, the answer is both. 5 bolts for 5 lights. The outer two bolts also bolt the housing to the truck.

    Meso dome, map and bd third brake light, Spyder headlight, MBRP ss409 exhaust and all the leds I could install, a few vinyl items.

    I installed this and my MBRP exhaust today, I swear the exhaust took less time.
    However, the fit is perfect on the MESO third break light.

    Got the KC5, went with all reds. Using the truck bed as DRL aside from the 3rd brake. I'm sure they'll notice me stopping.. yeeeah!
