Winjet Tail Lights

I have seen a few comments regarding the Winjet taillights, but they were so hard to follow in larger threads that I hoped I could get more information in one place.
I love the look and am hoping that some people have some experience they can share.
Is the install pretty straightforward?
Are the smoke lenses able to pass enough light to see brake lights clearly during the day?
Also, just any general experiences would be appreciated.

Got mine two weeks ago. I don’t have the smoked so can’t comment on them, I have the clears. I like them a lot and don’t regret the purchase. Installed in 10 minutes, two 10mm bolts each side, pop the light out, follow the instructions that come with the lights, illustration are very clear and there is a YouTube vid on how to do it. Got mine from tacomabeast.com. Got them just a couple days after ordering. I think the are brighter than the stock halogens for sure. I have no issues or radio interference. I think they have corrected that issue with the new ones.

 

That is great information. Thank you. My truck is mostly black parts, but it is a tough decision between the smoke and the clear. I like them both.

Are those the red clear or the black clear? I see two different options with the lights, but I think yours is the red, right?
EDIT- I now see that last picture. Yours are definitely the red clear from what I can tell.

Anyone running the black clear or the black lights? I think either of the clear ones should be plenty bright, I was only concerned about the black ones since they seem to be tinted.

I am torn between the black clear and the black. Would love to see some pics and hear how you like them once you get them on.

 

No eta yet. I ordered them late last Thursday along with new headlights. My headlights will be here tomorrow, but the tails haven't shipped yet for some reason.

 

That sucks. Which headlights did you go with?
I purchased headlights for a previous truck and could never get them lined back up right, so it has made me apprehensive about purchasing again. I have seen a couple for the tacomas I really liked though.

I'm really hoping the light output is good. The drl and turn signal look bad ass, but not sure on output yet

The smoke lens version has been a very popular light. Brightness is affected by the smoke lens, however, that is not too say they are not bright. Out in midday sun the lights are still visible from a few cars back.

Sorry if this is an old thread but I was hoping to get a set too but was worried about that it could leak and get water in it, anybody run into that problem?? Thxs
