Cruising in 4Lo with the MT is a weird joy. I will drop it in there well before there is a need to.

Don't know that I would really call it "cruising".

Cruising with a ton of control?

I don't rock crawl, but I've been on long on steep trails that felt like a cruise with it.

I like your original description: Cruising.

Figured this may be well received here.

I added this FJ shift knob to my 3rd gen trdor.

Install was kind of a pain. The chrome collar on the shift boot had to go, so I zip tied the underside of the leather boot to the shaft and just let it be. I think it tuned out well.

I've seen a couple knobs that have connectors like the stock one but outside of that, this is the best I've seen

    Thanks!

You can get custom length boots from redlinegood.com. Don't bother with the brake boot or console cover, esp the extra height option. They are not worth it.

I don't mind seeing some of the shaft as long as it isn't chrome.

    Thanks, @Shellshock !

The collar and knob are from @7r41lbr34k3r :

BTW, that was the raw finish on the collar. This was after a couple coats of matte black:

Not 3rd gen, but here's mine done last week. Fitted a piece of SS tubing over the spindley stock stick to give it some girth & a little bling. Gonna chuck it up & put a high shine on it in near future.
