Yep, and I cancelled my order of a manual transmission ridgeline. What is the world coming to?

    Yeah,

They sure don’t make Honda’s like they used to back in the 80’s and 90’s.

That is a custom job, a cut away so you can see the inner workings. Kind of like those cadavers that are thin sliced to show off the circulatory system.

I wanted an early 90's JDM import 80 series cruiser, but found out the insurance restrictions on a grey market vehicle. Said screw it, and bought the taco instead. I've owned many pre-1998 land cruisers, there is nothing like them. Although, the FZJ 4.5 petrol engine is known for HG failure after 200,000 miles. (tying my rambling back to topic)

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
It is possible to own both. Depends on the use.

We call the Ridgeline "The Ridgeline" and the Tacoma "The Truck".

The Tacoma is for hauling and having fun.

The Ridgeline serves the purpose of a luxury sedan for long highway trips.

    Confusing? Ha!

I've owned almost every make of vehicle and Toyota, by far has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Hope it gets sorted for you.

It took me a long time to find a good Toyota service tech, but after finding the right one and an old school mechanic for my truck I couldn't be happier

Yep. Even Toyota admits this. I seem to remember that torque is something like 33 ft lbs then 90 deg and 90 deg in sequence.

As an engineer I've never felt that torquing any fastener beyond its elastic yield point is good for maintaining clamping force over time even with thermal cycling. Sure....TTY bolts are a real item but I don't like them. I also find it hard to believe Toyota would use less than the equivalent of SAE Grade 8 so a lot of people have gotten away with reusing them.

That said, pay for the new head studs if they wont. Re-torquing them is risky because you will likely pass a critical point on the yield curve of the steel.

Long as it is under warranty. I wouldnt trust the turbo EcoBoost and 10 speed auto past 100k. My neighbor is out every week working on his 2010ish F150. It is rusting out on the back of the crew cab and is missing the fuel door. Common problems on those trucks. Junk for the price paid new.
