It's been so long since I've been to a monster jam event. Those things are awesome!

 

We just got back home, freestyle was unreal, a couple trucks went all out, there were multiple snapped axles. They have a winner with that format for sure.

 

How did the low ball go?

 

Haven't done it yet ha. Try to decide what I want to offer. Has new wheels and tires. But I don't want them as they are 33" on 18s. Are new though. So could possibly sell them..he doesn't seem interested in keeping them.

 

Yeah trying to resell things where you live can be hell, especially if they look like that haha

 

Ha nah people out here are all bro'ed up on their trucks. Either that it cowboyed up. Or just stock.

A 2wd is hard to move though, especially for 7500

 

Welp. much as I'd like too. Passed on the truck for now. Piece of audio gear came up last night and bought it instead. Was cheaper too, though not cheap. Excited to get it though.

 

My other labor of love for sure. Building my own studio setup so I can start freelance mixing/mastering more on the side. Hope to have stuff together by the fall to be able to do some stuff.

 

Man, you are connoisseur of money pits. Why not just get a good pro-tools or cubase rig. What you can’t fix in the mix you can fix in the marketing

 

I just finally bought modern stereos for both rigs, hope to do the 4Runner install tomorrow. I’ll finally be able to listen to something besides NPR.

 

I need to get something new for my 02, it has zero features.


And I know nothing about wire though so I’d probably mess something up

 

Oh I'm building a full on HDX rig too. A analog hybrid setup I have dreamed up so it'll be like having a large format consoles for a fraction of the cost and easy recall. Big console sound, small footprint. Still gonna run me about 15k when I'm done building it but that'll be the mix rig. Few pieces at a time.

I'm hoping to mix and master freelance. Plus likely use my analog gear to master my stuff I work on at work.

 

Wiring/electrical is by far my point of least confidence, but crutchfield pre-makes the harnesses for you so the stereos are pretty much plug and play. The Tacoma is going to take a little bit, because I’m finally going to install my bussman at the same time.

 

I’d just be happy to have a place to set up my firebox/Cubase rig at this point. Turns out once you have kids 1900sqf is really small and my shop/guesthouse/studio is a pipe dream that’s years away

 

It's been awhile but I think for a head unit for our trucks it's just matching up colors.

 

I picked up a replacement tire mount for the swingout. At 3/8" thick, it should be much harder to twist this one.

Your right of course, but hopefully the next time i'll at lest feel the damn tree I run into. When I bent this one, I never even felt it because the plate bent so easily.
