2019 Trd sport with 3 inch lift. I want to upgrade my wheel, I don't want to add spacer or cutting. What tires on 16 inch or 17 inch can I get?

TRD OEM “sema” 17” 4Runner wheels. They poke about 1” more without spacers. 265/70/17 K02. No rubbing.

For tires, 285’s may or may not require cutting, there seems to be mixed results. I think the 255/80’s (tall skinnies) are mostly fine without cutting and will look good on a 3” lift.

If I want 17inch, what tires size? And what offset really mean? I don't know about offset.

Offset is the amount the wheels “poke” outwards from the wheel well. A wheel with more negative offset than stock will poke out further than the stock wheel.

    Negative offset pokes out more.

The TRD 17” 4Runner SEMA wheels (don’t quote me on these numbers) have 0mm offset. The stock OR rims have +25mm, which means the stock rims are 25mm further inside the wheel wells. You gain 25mm of poke with the 4Runner wheels.

I prefer 17” tires as it allows me to go to a larger tire diameter than the stock 30”, while still staying with a 6-ply tire (lighter weight and better ride and fuel economy than 10ply)

265/75/16 and 265/70/17 have the same outer diameter (about 31”) and tread width, but most 265/75/16 LT tires are 10ply, which I try to avoid on a Tacoma.
These sizes are the largest tires you can fit without any rubbing without going to a “pizza cutter” narrow tire.

You may want to go to a larger tire with the amount of lift you have, which may require cutting.

I have the t4r sema wheels with 265/70/17 wildpeaks and they do rub the rekgen mudflaps, but I think I can make some adjustments to make it work.
