What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Had any problems with the headlights? Thinking of getting them but I can’t find a solid review of brightness and longevity

Anyone know what the torque specs are for the front tow hook? Getting ready to install the new one from Bullet Proof Fabrication but they don’t include instructions and I can’t find it online anywhere.

Well, here's my first tacomaworld post. Goodbye virginity, hello to my new (to me) Quicksand SR5! Plasti-dipped the fender flare, rear bumper, and badges.

 

I went 90 ft lbs on mine which is in between gr 8.8 and gr 10.9. Started at 70 each and then went 90.

How many coats on rear bumper? Did you remove them to plastic did them? Truck looks great!!

I think I went 6 coats and left them in place. Taped all the quicksand surfaces/tail lights but left the center step uncovered and didn't notice any of the overspray when I was done.

 

Thanks for the info, looks like my next mod on my truck. Just finished up my emblems yesterday.

 

Hell yeah. Clean 'em good before hand (I washed then used isopropyl alcohol to prep them). We'll see how it holds up, probably going to get bumpershellz if it doesn't work out.
