Washed it this afternoon...

 

Installed the BPF tow hook.

 

I also gave her a bath and installed a new WIX air filter. K&N filter was out of stock; will be in next week. I’ll keep the WIX filter to use when I wash the K&N filter.

 

Added black Tacoma lettering bought from Amazon. It is metal and 3D. I dig it.

 

Looks sharp!

 

So worth the wait, they look amazing.
I requested a set while they were sold out and I was shocked at how quickly I got them.

And while I shouldn’t admit to this, it’s a mod I made while going 85mph.

Why the bed stiffeners? Have there been issues with flexing?

 

Ron, From what I recall those are hefty bolts, I'd tighten them to +/- 80 ft./lbs that would be more than adequate.

Debadged both Tacoma door emblems, both bedside stickers, and V6 badge. Rebadged with these (door emblem on other side as well):

 

Replaced 2017 TRD Off Road grill with 2018 TRD Sport grill today. Also, added combo driving/ fog light behind the grill while the front clip was off.

 

Was a busy day! Got a chance to replace reverse OEM bulbs with LED. Also, added 2x additional license plate LED pods tucked up behind the tailgate which are tied into the reverse lights.

Added LED pod under the hood with a ground switch so light comes on when hood opens.

 

Greased zerks with good old red and tacky then a very OCD wash and wax. I pressure wash first. Then foam gun until I can’t see the paint. Then rinse with pressure washer again, then microfiber hand wash whatever the touchfree didn’t get then rinse with regular hose.

Back to the zerks...
I could not for the life of me find the two on the slip yokes. I got all three spider/ u joints. Man the grease was gross that came out of there. I need to look at a schematic or something to find the other two.
