It drives nice and straight. Ill leave it that way for a bit.

Need to rebuild my icons and rebushing with new uniballs for the total chaos UCA/LCA's. I think I need a new rear dakar leaf spring. The main leaf on one looks bent. Pretty much a full suspension rebuild front and rear. Just picked up a new ujoint for the front drive shaft.

Feck.... Looks like a might have to buy another set of dakars. I currently have the CS047r's and it doesn't seem like anyone stocks those anymore and have been replaced by the newer PN EL095R/96R. I don't really want to fix and match, but it would probably be a good idea to just get 2 new leaf packs. It could cause ride issues using one broken in leaf pack with a fresh leaf pack.

One of my current cs047r's has a bent main leaf from going inverted with the shackle flip.

I think Bens springs here in town can fix it.

Is anyone well versed in the 01-04 double cab values in WA, or in general I guess... I’m really interested in making the switch from extended to double cab.

Requirements are under 100k miles (obviously the lower the better), must be 4x4 (TRD would be nice), really anything but white or the two red colors and a clean title

Everything I’m seeing is around $16-20k for those requirements above. Is that pretty typical that the guys who know the market?

Those prices are probably on the higher end IMO and could definitely get reduced to $15k max for what you're looking for. Are you set on strictly a 1st Gen DC? For $16-$20k you could find a decent 09-11 model.

I searched for over a year before I bought my Tacoma. I was originally trying to find one like you are, but seeing what people were asking for 1st Gen DC's, a 2nd gen wasn't much more. For some reason in the PNW Tacoma's hold an above average market value vs what nada/bluebook etc value them at.

I eventually expanded my search to include all of Washington, northern Oregon and Idaho. I found mine in Spokane where the seller wasn't asking an inflated price and it was in decent condition but needed some work. He was originally asking $17k and I drove it away after paying $13.5k which I couldn't have touched that truck on the west side of this state for close to that let alone a later model 1st Gen like 03/04.

An 01-04 DC with under 100k is going to fetch a premium and can be like finding hens teeth. The prices some people ask are just outright laughable. I'd take the nada estimate, which is usually high, and the kbb estimate, which is usually low, and find a number somewhere in the middle. In the end it's only worth what you or someone is willing to pay regardless of what some website says it's worth.
