Sorry OP for mucking up your thread!!!

As you can see, if you're going to dive in and use your truck as a "truck", you may as well not lie to yourself and just dive in head first.

Prepare to empty the wallet though.

If I lived in a free state like most people here, I'd have so many handguns (that are off roster here), so many SBR's, so many suppressors, and some select-fire rifles.

    One day...

I could buy a new Tacoma for the price of a “legal” select-fire rifle...and I live in free state.

I'd rather have the select-fire rifle than the new Tacoma.

    Yes sir, SRS A1.

Older version as I've had it for quite awhile so it doesn't have the monopod.

Not doing the required maintenance like you’re suppose to only adds more $$ to the bill when you’re required to repair them.

I am a shock rebuilder for many people on the forum. It all depends on how much you wheel and other factors. Thus being a 2.0 yes they hold less oil and should be serviced regularly if you wheel often and pretty rough. At least once a year if you wheel often. Youd be surprised that a shock not leaking outside could still be either low on nitrogen or leaking internally.

if there is no visible leakage, can a shock just be recharged with nitrogen?

Yes, some slowly leak . Best to get them recharged every one a year or two . Been seeing too many low.

Idk how I feel about this. A shock is a sealed system. If one becomes low on nitrogen pressure then their is a leak somewhere that would require attention. Especially if the IFP seal is leaking and the shock has become emulsified. Adding more pressure to the system will not solve this issue, and only make matters worse.

Personally, if you feel the need to "recharge" a shock, it's time for a rebuild.

No not a complete leak down, just a low charge. Trust me I have serviced many shocks for customers on here and before i do anything i check them to see the pressure before removal or dissasembly. And many times they are anywhere from 10-50 psi low. Now thats not terrible but its still something to check. I do know that it could leak into the oil chamber but 9/10 this is not the cause. Leaking from the scrader valve I mean past the cap. Yes also true but it doesnt hurt to check

Almost 70000 on my Fox shocks and the setup I have. I will consider a rebuild after 100000 miles or when it needs it. The truck drives great right now and I don't go wheeling with it as its a daily driver. I keep the truck clean and inspect shocks and suspension weekly.
