What's the problem been? My road is a washboard covered in potholes.

Car is in CT, I’m in fairfax

I have a two car garage but three cars here currently. I want to keep it out of the elements to stall the rust

Essentially just excessive wheel shake considering the road that im driving on without any other obvious issues to my steering/suspension.

Typically my order of operations with heavy rust is:
    1. PB Blaster (soak then sit for 5 a few times then try after round 3 onward)
    2. Torch
    3. Sawzall

Bigger wrenches and breaker bars just break/strip shit and be sure to work it back and forth while spraying PB if it does come loose to work it into the threads.

Whats up guys, asking for advice. I got my tires installed on Saturday and tried to get my post-lift alignment after my new LR UCA's. Well when the alignment tech went to turn the LCA alignment cams to get max clearance as many have suggested and on like 2 out of 4 of them, only one side of the cam would turn. From my understanding, when you turn the cam, both sides of the cam should turn as one. He couldn't get the other side to budge. He tried to contine the alignment anyway but it honestly feels worse than it did before. Pulls to the left and I was like swerving all over the place on the way home. So basically i'm assessing my options right now, I'm thinking of either cutting the LCA out replacing both LCAs with MOOG, only like $120 a piece and definitely the easiest option cuz they're preassemled with bushings, or try to cut them out and press old bushings out and replace with Whitelines bushings. Anybody had a similar problem? I know this is gonna be a huge pain in the ass and am honestly pretty close to just dropping it off at the shop and letting them deal with it but I know it'll cost me a kidney if i go that route

You’ve got two options really. If it’s only a little seized, you can use a ball joint press and a socket to press the alignment hardware out of the lca. Then just clean up the rust with a wire wheel and put it back together. I’ve had to do this on @twheat40 and @UntamedTaco truck now.

If that doesn’t work, you have to cut them out and either rebuild or replace the lca. Moog is a great option. For alignment hardware I’d recommend oem but spc is a viable option as well if you want to save money.

Thanks man. I'll try to rent a ball joint press and get under there to figure what the next move needs to be. I'm hoping the bushings are fine and i can get away with just replacing the hardware. But by how much torque the alignment guy was putting on the cam to try to get it to move, I have a feeling i'm gonna have to cut it out. He hooked a second wrench onto the first one for more leverage and it was starting to bend his wrench.

Not all hope is lost man. Rotating it is damn near impossible, and you’ll just bend your stock alignment tabs.

For the bushings, there’s a metal sleeve in there and that’s what the hardware rusts too. If you have to cut it out, there’s no salvaging that bushing. You can rebuild the LCAs with new bushings but I hear that’s a chore.

As far as the ball joint press, do you have a big ass impact? I can’t even imagine doing it by hand. That’d be hard as fuck.

I need to do mine too, I've got just one frozen. Been putting it off till I get new UCA to go with it. Hopeful that it can be repaired without replacing the LCA.
