It looks good I have seen several guys ordering HC rears without wingouts latey. Other than the weight of the swinger itself and maybe the rotopax how much are you saving as you will still need to carry the spare?

    Sadly, not much.
I have the Cover Kings as well, love them and they are super easy to clean.

Unofficial weight is probably ~60-70 lbs roughly. I drove it afterwards and I definitely felt a difference.

I just wanna be like Randall! Who wouldn't!?

That's not bad savings. I have been contemplating only leaving mine on during camping season and removing for the winter. It would help with traction having that weight hanging off the back when it snows though

Bringing the weight from the spare off the swingout closer to the center of gravity helps make it more noticeable.

I've always had my spae in the bed until I put the bumper on a few weeks ago. I'm kinda liking having it out of the bed as with the short bed there isn't much room and I can now fit all my trash cans in there LOL

I installed a set of 3rd gen wheels this morning...

Its a PIA to get the tires dismounted from OEM Toyota wheels...!

Plasti-dipped the wheels a sort of a metallic gunmetal color. Definitely better than the stock silver, but going black next time for sure assuming I don't have new wheels before then. (Likely)

Redid my shifter and I’m SO HAPPY WITH IT. Pics speak for themselves.

I repurposed the closed end as a back up wedding ring. Turns out, 3/4” fits damn near perfectly.

Finally got around to installing my “new to me” FJ Trail Team rims and the KOs that came on them (275/70 16). Also realized my full sized spare is a 265/75 16...whoops.
Pulled the running boards and added “cosmetic sliders”...’cause with only 5 bolts they’re probably only as strong as the plastic boards that came off. Saving for real sliders...A3951CC2-6D20-4EC5-80F4-C50722C5402D.jpgA924761C-9B1D-453A-A222-2F8244DA6E5E.jpg
