POPPING sound in front on passenger side

*Sorry if I’m double posting - think I posted on wrong forum earlier!

Anyways, just traded my 08 for an 18. Tacoma sport 4x4 with 22,000 miles on it.....Noticed when I back out of driveway, stop, then turn wheel to the right & pull forward, when I straighten out I hear a pop sound in passenger side front.....Took it to dealership & mechanic said it was just caliper stick. Said it’s very common in Toyota’s & nothing to worry about. Does this sound right?.....This is my 4th Tacoma & first time I’ve ever noticed this happening.

 

Does it sound wet or dry ? (sorry could not help myself )

 

I've been hearing a bit of a popping sound the last month as well. from me it sounds like driver side.

 

Gross. Guess that is why it's a Turd-gen?

 

You have to fill up with the low fiber gasoline to stop this behavior.

LOL! Sorry, can't help you with the popping sound as I'm not experiencing it. But I had to look at this because of the title. Hope you get it figured out.

I didn't hear any sound when I sharted in my shorts this morning. Worst part is I was sitting down, good thing I had a clean pair of shorts in the car.

You gotta expect some ribbing when you put poop in the thread title.
My 4Runner did that. Reversed out of garage, straighten out to go forward down the alley. Single pop. Never caused a problem but ...

 

That seems to be a good regimen. I'd advice adding imodium to the gas for long trips.

This is why a lot of people run ethanol free. All that corn fiber goes straight through the bowels of the truck.

 

Most of us aren't "usually" jerks around here. But if you make a typo about pooping, you're in for a storm.
