I used L track on the floor between the ribs and tied into that.

 

Everyone says this. I normally don't camp in the same spot 2 nights in a row. During the day, I drive to a trail head, hike for a few hours, then find a camp. The solar maintains my batteries indefinitely and keeps the fridge cold. I keep beer in it often and if I don't drive for days, I don't worry about it.

That said, I also used L-track between the ribs for tie downs. Less of a chance for molds to take up residence in the voids.

 

I just used ply wood and line-x. winter, summer, no problems.

 

I’m a big fan of marine plywood, but just realize, they’re real proud of it. Cost is $$$. I bought a 4’ by 8’ sheet of 1/2” African mahogany okoume for like $120 last time at a boat supply or repair store. I used it with absolute respect to get as many pieces and projects out of it. Measure twice, cut once. But the stuff is beautiful to work with and takes finish like no other.

I think Baltic birch plywood is pretty nice stuff. It’s what goosegear uses and then coats with linex.
I would look into raptor liner to coat. Check out overland_medic on IG. It’s what he uses.

 

If anyone is interested I have a 3x4 marine grade 3/4” plywood for grabs $60 obo take it. South Orange County area.

 

Ironically this is similar to what I’ve put down a bag of cash for just a week ago. Now just waiting for the parts to come in for the install. Can’t wait ! My bp51s with Camburg UCA and HD ome will be for sale shortly !

 

It's not a bad setup to start with. I got my relocate finished with the 12" Kings and it improves it significantly. I just know that as soon as I add any rear armor I will need new springs.

 

Yeah I’m going with leaf under heavy pack for all that weight. Hopefully it’ll be good. Excited about 12” king shocks too.

 

Yeah goose uses birch is what I thought as well. I couldn’t bring myself to paying $700 for just the base board. Picked up marine 3/4 sheet today and cut it myself. Don’t care how it looks since I’ll be getting a carpet kit on top of it. Hope it all works out.

Yeah. similar to what I did. I went extra step and seam sealed the storage boxes on both sides also sprayed crap load of liquid seal in under the tracks and in all the holes I can find. Hope it helps with dust.

Saw it in person. Ambitious, but given the choice I personally wouldn't opt for it. Currently there's no struts to help with opening and closing so it is very difficult from what I heard. I can imagine how hard it would be to close.

 

In person it's pretty awesome!

 

He actually said he's looking for a quick disconnect style strut to assist with opening and then remove when it's set up.
