jesus the ones I looked up are like $400-500...although they have some hiking boots that look reasonable.

I like the mid-height ones, too short and they don't protect the ankles.

I'd exchange them if you can, Merrell used to be good shit. I've been abusing a $90 pair of Columbia boots for forever and have another pair of Danner that are pushing $200 that I don't think I could kill if I wanted to. Those Merrells shouldn't be failing so early

They’re just kinda hot, I love both my pairs and you have the option to resole if needed.

    I haven’t needed to yet

There's a thread on there from some kid with 20 posts that wants to unbolt his exhaust at the muffler because him and his buddies "sometimes like to be jackasses around town on a Friday night at midnight". I was *this* close to telling him to just reroute his exhaust into the cab next time instead, but I remembered you and Zane's latest ban and decided to hold back lol.

My neighbors like me right now, I've been tuning the Z with the headers open. 2k rpm sounds earth shattering

yeah that's the thing that sucks about good boots, especially water proof ones...I have to dump a bunch of Gold Bond powder into them every time I wear them so my feet (and the boots) don't get nasty after wearing them all day lol

yeah the material around the toe where it meets the sole is separating on both, definitely not made that great. I had a pair previously that lasted a long time and many grueling hikes so I guess it's just a fluke, but I'm going to take them back.

I went through a pair of under armor, danner and irishsetter boots within about a month, stitching failed or the sole fell off, finally decided to go to kenetreks.

Pretty much the same story for my winter pair
