Pegs. Cut to size and add a drop off glue.

    looks good.

Yeah the strip of plastic is to make pegs. I didn't want them pre attached because some people are cutting the oem emblem off without removing the air bag cover and can't use the pegs. Little 1/4" pegs tend to get lost in the post, and it's much easier to stick it in first then cut to length so I just send a strip of it.

Super glue works good, acetone will fuse the pegs on but could destroy the badge if you aren't careful. Friction fit also works fine if you want to use adhesive to hold the emblem to the steering wheel rather than melt the pegs on the back.

Ya, I wanted it to look OEM so I took the cover off. Once I knew what the strip was for, it was super easy. I read with Jetboy818 did with cutting to size and then melting the ends. I used super glue for the pegs. Popped the emblem on and then snipped some of the excess then used a lighter to melt the tips. Super slick looking. Thanks again!

Hey @JimmyRigged88 any chance of making the Pro grill in an all-grey background that’s closer to the color of the steering wheel rather than black? Maybe gunmetal grey?

Thank you guys for explaining again. That was the hard part wrapping my head around the plastic inserts, cutting and then melting the ends I was hoping to see a picture/more detail during that part of the install but every picture usually was post-install.

All which I should say look great. :)

I totally dig your emblems OP. Especially the retro stripes, which got me thinking...how about incorporating the retro colors onto the TRD letters? As in a red T, an orange R and a yellow D.

Yeah I could totally do that. Would you want an overlay or replacement?

Any chance you will be making more of the Toyota with gray stripes?

Is there a way to take the stock emblem off without removing the airbag?

Someone did it a couple pages back. I think they said that they pried the badge away and snipped the studs. It is an oddly flexible material.

There are a lot of posts on it to snip.

Be careful to no mark up the cover, because you will see that all the time.
