    For those with the "Amazon" lights, or not...

    Im planing to have six 30watts lights on my roof rack (2 pointing the back and 2 on each side), 60watts each side connected to 3 different wires thru a 14gauge wire to 3 different channels on the Switch Pro. (makes sense?)

    Does anyone have a set up like that?

    Also, I was thinking of using automotive connectors (from Amazon) on each light, do I really need to go with the expensive deutsch connectors?

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you for any inputs.

    They're better than Deutsch connectors. You want something waterproof that will last. Deutsch connectors aren't foolproof and can leak. These are a bit better.

    Thanks for the tip. It came to mind using marine butt connectors but somehow I thought having a 2 pin connector would be easier to replace if the light goes bad. I can save some money with your way. Thanks.

    I chased a lot of issues using Deutsch connectors. This is from my fog light harness:

    Cut them out and used what I sent you. 6 months and still going strong.

    I have Rigid 1x2 perimeter lights on the rear ( got them for $45 each through work ) and Buyers products 1482139 for the sides but I also built my rack

    i would say it depends on what you want. one is a connector and the other is a but splice. they arnt the same thing lol.

    Properly done Deutsch connectors are amazing and i have yet to have one fail. the tooling is a bit more money for a proper crimp along with the price of the connector, but they are amazing. I use them on any light connector or any connector really lol

    I like your setup and copied on my cap rack. Only difference is I added a 3/8” spacer between the ignite and Prinsu to drop the light down so that it would hang below my ARB awning. Then wired it to a programmable relay timer that will turn the lights off after a preset number of hours

    I am interested to know if these connectors really work as well as described. I have been soldering and shrink-wrapping for ever, but this looks very promising...I'm just leery of investing in lots of connectors and a heat gun if I'm going to go back to square one. My job is all external connections on roof rack so I want it to stand up. Curious of you have tips or issues to avoid...thanks in advance.

    Planning to mount to LED pods to the Baja Rack on my ARE shell. Still not sure how to get the wires from the outside of the shell to the inside.

    OR

    Are most people running the wiring along the channel on top of the shell and then down between the bed and the cab?? Based on how clean some of these mounts look I can't imagine running wiring between the shell and cab.
