Wanting to get some pro comp wheels, but haven't pulled the trigger. My worries: have not had a set of aftermarket wheels since the late 90's. Both sets I had previously could not compare the the durability or longevity of any stock wheel I've had. That being said how long do finishes hold up on afterafterm wheels. I live in the midwest and we have nasty winters with lots of salt.

All that being said I have really tried to focus on a powder coated finish for durability. But not seeing aftermarket wheels stating they are powder coated, only painted with 2 year warranty. Am I missing something?

Leaning toward sema wheels, but need to make sure they stick out a bit more than 2016 stock sport wheels. Getting tired of the roller skate look

I've never had issues with aftermarket wheels, but I cant really comment on pro comp durability, never have ran those.

Take a look at Stealth Custom Series, they don't have a ton of designs but the wheels are very high quality and at a reasonable price. Otherwise my only aftermarket wheel experience has been Method wheels, which are high quality as well.

I have Pro Comp 7031s that came on my Taco. I've put 24,000 miles on them with no problems with balancing, finish or surviving off-road. Granted, I'm in Texas, though the truck is originally from Vermont.

Lol and hard as hell to get a set of, sell out in minutes. I have Icon Rebounds on my truck and havent had any issues. 17x8.5s with 275/70/17 BFG K02s. I havent wheeled them too terribly hard but hard enough and they now have just been through a multi collision accident and will be going on my new truck once I complete the lift.

I have the Sema TRD Pro wheels and they have held up great. They do give you a wider stance (I believe around 1" wider per wheel). Definitely a well made wheel.

Thanks man, yeah getting better at least. Finally settled the property side of things and was able to get back into a truck myself. Haven't heard from the other drivers (5 vehicles total) but I got the worst of it right in the middle. Freeway slowed down and the people behind me missed the memo. Got rear ended, turned sideways, and tboned by the truck that started it all. But the wheels and tires and bed cover survived for the next truck ha

The sema wheels measure the same width 7.5 as the sport. Is the offset different

I concur. Those are beautiful wheels. Same size as the OEM wheels, which may be a No-Go for some, but beautiful all the same.
